Approach & clinical governance

A clinician-led, evidence-aware approach.

KPCIRC’s service design emphasises clear scope, defined review responsibility, documentation and treating-clinician ownership.

Four principles

Clinical context matters

Findings are considered alongside the diagnosis, disease setting, prior treatment, available reports and the question being asked.

Evidence strength matters

A detected alteration or database association is not automatically an actionable treatment option. Evidence and uncertainty are stated clearly.

Collaboration adds perspective

Defined review pathways help clinicians organise complex questions and decide what further evaluation may be useful.

The treating clinician remains central

KPCIRC services support clinical assessment and collaboration; the responsible clinician retains responsibility for patient-specific decisions.

Collaboration principles

Defined responsibilities

Institutional and referral arrangements identify who assesses, reviews, signs, communicates and follows up.

Visible limitations

Reports distinguish established findings, potential associations, unresolved questions and missing information.

Privacy by design

The designated submission process is used, and only the information necessary for the requested service is shared.

Agreed scope

KPCIRC does not assume long-term management unless a separate care arrangement establishes that responsibility.

POAS and MTB governance

For POAS and MTB, the precise intake, reviewer, sign-off and communication workflow is specified on the relevant service page and in the service agreement.
